18 month Milostone

I can't believe how Milo is growing up in so many ways. I love him so much.

Thankful.... for life.

Last night I was on a quick trip to the store. While I was on my way this is what happened to me:

Yep, that is my beloved car smashed by a drunk driver running a red light. Pretty freaky experience.

Kyle and my parents came to rescue me, while Kyle's parents rushed over to our house to be with Milo. I am grateful that we have our parents so close.

I was the second car in this article.

I am grateful that Milo was not with me and that I am alive and relatively unharmed. I know as it states in the article that my car was built well to withstand this head-on collision but I also know that I was protected by my Heavenly Father. I am grateful for the blessings that He daily gives me and especially for His hand in saving me from harm last night. This Thanksgiving I am grateful that I am still here to be a wife, mom, sister, daughter and friend.

Just looking at these pictures makes me sick and so sad. I want my car back. But when I think of that I just realized that it could have been a lot, lot worse.

Cheese

Yesterday I was taking a picture of this:
And this:
And I realized that every time I took a picture Milo was saying "TEEEZ". My interpretation is "cheese". I am guessing it is because we had so many pictures taken this last weekend.

Here are all the Schnoor cousins.
And the whole smiling Schnoor clan.

We also had fun together in the great outdoors last weekend.
Kyle built this bottle rocket launcher after he saw one on TV. It was definitely a hit.

Honoring my Veteran

I had two things on my list to do today: first, take Milo to story time at the library. When I drove up and no cars were in the parking lot, I remembered that it was Veteran's day. Then I drove off to the bank. Yep, I must not be too smart because I should have known that it would be closed too.

I shamefully have not given Veteran's Day too much thought in the past. Today, as I sheepishly drove away from the library and bank, I resolved to have my family honor Veteran's Day every year by remembering our family members who have served our country.

Mark it Up

Milo loves to color but crayons aren't good enough anymore. Watch out walls, carpet and tables.
